Our purpose is to be the home for every soul that is in need of the Savior, to love unconditionally, be compassionate toward others, and lead others to restoration in Christ Jesus.

Our Story

Iglesia Cristo El Rey has been a beacon of hope in Rochester, Minnesota for over a decade—a 501(c)(3) organization built on a foundation of credibility, faithfulness, and service.

What began as a small gathering of families united by a shared vision has grown into a vibrant congregation focused on raising and restoring families through the transformative power of God's love.

Today, we continue to grow together through love, welcoming everyone who seeks the Savior. Whether you have much or little to give, we welcome you—because the little done by the many allows God to accomplish much through us.

God So Loved The World

"I have loved you with an everlasting love." — Jeremiah 31:3

God loves you with a love beyond understanding. He wants to forgive you and have a relationship with you. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, from heaven to this earth for you. He has plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future.

That He Gave His Only Son

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." — John 14:6

Jesus came to give your life meaning and purpose. He is the way to God, the truth that sets you free, and the life that satisfies your soul. Through His sacrifice, He made a way for you to be reconciled with the Father.

That Whoever Believes In Him

"I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" — Jeremiah 32:27

God is holy and powerful. He can change your life. No matter who you are or how you've lived, God will receive you into His family. The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you and transform you into a different person.

Should Not Perish

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9

God isn't waiting to judge you—He's waiting to receive you with mercy, love, and open arms. Admit you are a sinner, believe Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, and trust in Him. Take this step of faith today.

God knows who you are, He loves you, and He wants you to know and love Him. If you would like to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to pray:

Time of Praise & Worship

We see worship as more than singing—it's a time in the presence of the Lord, a time to submerge wholeheartedly before Him. It's a time of expectation for God to move and transform our hearts.

Come As You Are

Whether you have much or little to give, we welcome you into our church. When we are down, He lifts us up. When we are weak, He strengthens us. He fills our hearts with joy.

Children's Ministry

We offer Sunday bible school teaching for children preschool through age 11 during our 1:30 PM service. We strive to raise a generation after God's own heart.

Our Fundamental Truths

Iglesia Cristo El Rey is part of the Asambleas de Dios · Assemblies of God. We believe…

1. We believe… The Scriptures Inspired
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
2. We believe… The One True God
There is only One True God—revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
3. We believe… The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
As God's Son, Jesus was both fully God and fully man—born of a virgin, sinless in life, atoning in death, bodily resurrected, and exalted at the right hand of God.
4. We believe… The Fall of Man
Though originally good, man willingly fell to sin through voluntary transgression—ushering evil into the world.
5. We believe… The Salvation of Man
Every person can have restored fellowship with God through 'salvation' (the Good News), received by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
6. We believe… The Ordinances of the Church
We practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper).
7. We believe… The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witness and service.
8. We believe… The Evidence of the Baptism
The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
9. We believe… Sanctification
Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but a progressive, lifelong pursuit of holiness.
10. We believe… The Church and Its Mission
The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin, and to be a corporate body in which believers may worship God.
11. We believe… The Ministry
A divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church in leading, evangelizing, and discipling.
12. We believe… Divine Healing
Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today, provided for in the atonement.
13. We believe… The Blessed Hope
In the Blessed Hope—when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His return to earth (the second coming).
14. We believe… The Millennial Reign of Christ
In the Millennial Reign of Christ, when Jesus returns with His saints to reign on earth for a thousand years.
15. We believe… The Final Judgment
A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ, in which they will be judged according to their works.
16. We believe… The New Heavens and New Earth
We look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth wherein righteousness dwells.
